Lord Taylor of Warwick is in the Fraud Squad's sights after irregularities in his expenses were reported in the Sunday Times. Sunday Times Article here
I recall having seen this chap on Sky News, doing the paper review, and I remember thinking on those occasions "I don't trust you", though I knew nothing else about him.
Most odd, as I'm not usually renowned for such prescience.

Oink! Oink!
Just when you thought they couldn't be any more brazen, they surpass themselves.
This cretin Morely, for instance.
I don't know about you, but I vividly remember the day I paid off my mortgage. He forgot... but didn't forget to keep claiming.
He's had the Labour whip withdrawn today, I understand.
Nick Brown, the Liebore Chief Whip, has just admitted to Jon Sopel (BBC) that "Morley 'fessed up to this days ago".
Begs the obvious supplemental.... Why have you sat on your collective hands in the interim then? Waiting for the one-eyed son of the manse to make a decision, perchance?
I despair.

The Great Afghani Cover-up
Did you know, that right now, in Helmand province, Afghanistan, the British Army is currently going down to it's second strategic defeat within 3 years?
We're metaphorically getting handed our head in our hands and we, the Great British Electorate, are not hearing a thing about it in the mainstream press.
The journalists, or more accurately the copy takers, are getting lots lovely "human interest" stories about the brave boys on the front line, straight from the MOD "news management department". But, in my not so humble opinion, the press are simply uncritical parties in establishing a convenient smokescreen of propaganda.
Coverage of the humiliating strategic defeat, is going unreported, except by Dr Richard North on the consistently excellent Defence of the Realm blog and a recent Channel 4 Dispatches documentary, which dropped several heavy hints.
But finally, another crack has appeared in the wall of misinformation. Christopher Booker writing on the "Telegraph" website shines a light on it, but it still hasn't been picked up elsewhere in the mainstream press.
Why? An inconvenient truth?

The Gurkhas
I see the Gurkhas have finally won their right to settle in the UK.
But.... hang on.... Joanna Lumley still seems to be cross.... whatever for? Surely the government have caved in?
However it appears that all is not as it seems (as per, with this morally bankrupt bunch of spinners). There seem to be some "strings".
What twisted mind frames the rules to insist upon 20 years service (a rifleman is only permitted to serve 15) or demand 3 years residence in the UK (the Gurkhas UK tour lasts 2 years), to effectively deny residence to as many as possible of these fine men?
They were my "enemy" at Sandhurst and, ever since, I have had the utmost respect for them both as professionals and as people.
This whole debacle has been a stain on the honour of Britain.
