We're metaphorically getting handed our head in our hands and we, the Great British Electorate, are not hearing a thing about it in the mainstream press.
The journalists, or more accurately the copy takers, are getting lots lovely "human interest" stories about the brave boys on the front line, straight from the MOD "news management department". But, in my not so humble opinion, the press are simply uncritical parties in establishing a convenient smokescreen of propaganda.
Coverage of the humiliating strategic defeat, is going unreported, except by Dr Richard North on the consistently excellent Defence of the Realm blog and a recent Channel 4 Dispatches documentary, which dropped several heavy hints.
But finally, another crack has appeared in the wall of misinformation. Christopher Booker writing on the "Telegraph" website shines a light on it, but it still hasn't been picked up elsewhere in the mainstream press.
Why? An inconvenient truth?
